Gigs

David Raybuck is a singer/songwriter currently living in Arlington, Texas. His style is all over the place, but an attempt to categorize it could bring a description of melodic, acoustic-driven, alt-rock/alt-country. The music is a combination of the oddities in his head and a variety of musical influences: Elliott Smith, Failure, the Beatles, Ween, Supergrass, Air, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin and Ryan Adams to name a few.

David is a solo-artist armed with a modest home studio, allowing him to record pieces with full instrumentation. He blends vocals, guitars, bass, keys, and programmed drums into a digital Mac recording setup to produce a unique, layered sound.

David began performing live shows in the Austin area in 2000 while attending Texas State University in San Marcos. His band was a 4-piece lead / rhythm / bass / drum combo named Deeper. He produced and released a full length demo album, Pawn, in 2001 laced with the beautiful drumming of Andrew Carlson. Deeper would play consistently at quality venues such as Stubb's in Austin and Lucy's Retired Surfers' Bar in San Marcos.

After college, David moved with his wife Lindsay to North Texas and started a family: Perry (2) and Harper (due in October '10). As a full-time computer geek, dad and songwriter he stays pretty busy, but there's always time to play a few gigs.
